Ms. Carter received both her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and her Master's Degree in Counseling from Tarleton State University. She began her career in education teaching at a private school. She came to Millsap ISD in 1998 as a 2nd grade teacher. After teaching various grade levels for 12 years, she spent six years as a school counselor. Ms. Carter completed the Alliance for Educational Leadership Program at Region 11 Education Service Center and obtained her Principal's certification in 2014. She served the students of Millsap Elementary as assistant principal for 3 years. Currently, she is the assistant principal of Millsap High School as well as testing coordinator for the district.
