The Internet History Sourcebooks Project provides a large collection of primary historical texts for educational use, covering ancient, medieval, modern history, and global history. It is designed to support history research and classroom learning, particularly for high school and college students.

The American Yawp

The American Yawp is a free, open-source U.S. history textbook covering American history from Indigenous America through the modern era, created collaboratively by historians.
 

Empowering Histories

Empowering Histories provides free, research-based U.S. History and AP African American Studies resources that encourage students to examine racism, historical injustice, and the contributions of diverse communities. Lessons are organized by AP units and include activities designed to strengthen historical analysis, writing, and critical-thinking skills.
