Welcome!
My name is Marla Wharton and this will be my 11th year with Millsap ISD. I am starting my 28th year in education and feel very blessed to be at Millsap ISD. I spent 6 years at Millsap Elementary as a teacher and the next 3 years at Millsap Middle School as the 6th grade math teacher. This year marks my 2nd year as the Assistant Principal at the middle school as well as the district testing coordinator and district CIA support.
I have been married 30 years to my husband, Shawn. We have three wonderful children and one grandson. Our youngest daughter, Tatum, is an orthodonic assistant for Stewart Orthodontics in Weatherford while her husband, Dylan, works for Colt Midstream. My oldest daughter, Taylor, is the Procurement Manager for Environmental Safety and Health Consulting Services. My son, his wife (Trevor & Chelsie) and first grandson (Tate), live in Mineral Wells where he works as a Lineman for United Coop and his wife as a Radiology Technologist at Palo Pinto General Hospital.
I enjoy reading, playing golf, fishing, hunting, and spending time with my family and grandson!

Beginning on February 19, 2024; I will be filling in as the new 7th grade ELAR teacher here at MMS! I am excited about this and look forward to being in the classroom to work closely with kids!
