Hello, my name is Coach Turk. I am the middle school art teacher.

I will also be assisting with middle school basketball, as well as high school tennis.

This is my fourth year teaching, yet my second year at Millsap.

I originally started teaching by assisting in teaching glassblowing, before moving on to being a pre-k prep teacher. 

I have a deep passion for any kind of art and want students to learn multiple different types and strategies that can help improve their art. We will also be reviewing different artists, as well as art history, in my class to better understand how much art has grown over the years and the changes that it has gone through.

My class is very much a project-based class. This means my lectures are short, so that I am able to engage with the artists at their individual levels to help make sure everyone in the class can improve and learn new strategies for art. 

I hope the students come to love art as much as I do, and all the variety that it brings!
