The Millsap ISD Board of Trustees met for the monthly meeting on Monday August 24, 2021, and recognized individuals who have made an impact on our community.  

The meeting began with Sheriff Russ Authier introduced himself to the Board and the community as the new Sheriff of Parker County.  He spoke of his desire to support the district in any way possible, and the Board reciprocated showing the community's support for law enforcement.

The Board then recognized Mrs. Kim Alexander who has served as the district's Chief Financial Officer since 2017.  Mrs. Alexander has accepted a position in another district, but has stayed on staff helping the district's new CFO Dr. Cindy Edwards with the transition.  This was Mrs. Alexander's last Board meeting in her current role, and the Board recognized all of the amazing work she has done to support the Millsap ISD community over the years.  

The August meeting of the Board of Trustees was also the last meeting for Trustee Allen Williams.  Mr. Williams addressed the Trustees sharing the joy he has felt serving on the Board since 2017.  

After recognitions, the Board of Trustees went on to adopt the 21-22 budget and compensation plan to take care of the district staff and ensure that quality learning will continue in classrooms across the district.
