ESSER Planning Process

District leadership developed a comprehensive step-by-step process to formulate plans for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years.  The process included input from parents, students, community, and school staff.  The goal of the process was to navigate the myriad of challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic and to create the best learning environment possible for students in a healthy and safe environment.  MISD considered every aspect of the whole child- social, emotional, mental, physical, and academic wellness.  The video below was the first step in the planning process as it provided guidance to team members who served on committees who helped formulate the plans for the 2020-2021 school year.

ESSER Funds Public Hearing - 5/24/21

On 6/7/21 Millsap ISD sent out a survey to all stakeholders to gather feedback on how the district should use the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds to address the academic impact of COVID-19 and respond to the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students due to the pandemic.  That survey had 108 respondents.  The summary of those responses were provided during a public community meeting on 6/14/21.
